Resa E Lewiss MD is an emergency medicine and lifestyle medicine physician. She is an adjunct Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University , a TEDMED speaker, healthcare designer, and award winning educator, mentor, and point-of-care ultrasound specialist.  She studied at Brown University, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the NIH Howard Hughes Research Scholars Program, and Harvard Emergency Medicine.
  • Writing: Resa is published in medical and science journals ( > 125 PubMed citations) and the popular press. She has written for outlets include Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, STATNews, Slate, CNBC, Nature, the Philadelphia Inquirer, MedPage Today, and Doximity OpMed.  She is co-author of the award winning business book MicroSkills: Small Actions, Big Impact (HarperCollins 2024)

  • Podcasting:  Resa is the creator and host of The Visible Voices Podcast and hosts the Academic Emergency Medicine Education & Training podcast. The Visible Voices has been featured in The Guardian, the Brown Alumni Monthly, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
  • Designing: Resa is a healthcare designer with projects focused on storytelling, the built environment, devices, and workflows. She has worked with Perkins + Will, Harvard  School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Masters of Design Engineering, and The Global Studio and the Health and Design Collaborative at Jefferson 
  • Coaching: Resa has extensive experience as a speaker coach, a writing coach, and as a workplace efficiency coach. She co-creates the coaching collaboration to design a process with the client in mind.
